Ram Bahadur Bamjan has been sitting in meditation for the past 7 months (Jan 06), baffling scientists as to how he has been able to survive for the past 7 months without a drop of water or any food. Some believe is an incarnation of Buddha. Many people from Nepal and neighbouring India have flocked in their masses to a dense forest in southeastern Nepal to see 15-year-old Ram Bahadur Bamjon who sits crossed legged under a "pipal" tree. Pipal trees have heart-shaped leaves and is considered holy by both Hindus and Buddhist. This is because it is believed that the Buddha attained enlightment under a pipal tree.
