kdsingh80 Posted May 22, 2011 Report Share Posted May 22, 2011 Karachi: Several blasts and firing were reported from a Pakistan Air Force airbase in the city of on Sunday though there were no reports of casualties. The blasts and firing began at about 10:40 pm in the naval section of the Shahrah-e-Faisal airbase; witnesses were quoted as saying by TV news channels. The nature of the blasts could not immediately be ascertained. As per the sources, they had heard up to five blasts and heavy firing continued for over 20 minutes after the first blast occurred. According to sources, the explosions took place in the guard room of the base. Ambulances were seen rushing to the airbase as security guards cordoned off the area.
