I was watching Middle EastEnders which was shown on BBC1 today around 11pm, I saw the footage of so called muslims in WWI but to me they seemed to be singhs....but on one clip you could tell the differance between the singhs and the muslims as the muslims have that sort of pointy hat on the top of their heads then the pugh wrapped around it. But the other clips they didnt and the men had full dhara's and the muslims never kept their mucha....its pretty shit that BBC messed it up.

OR am I wrong and seeing things?

Defo SIkh soldiers.

But hey they look exotic, wear turbans so why not call them musalman soldiers?!

Also don't have too high an expectations on this type of journalistic research.

On that note I remeber seeing a poster in Bham central library about an exibition about the muslims contribution to the ww1 and ww2. ANyone been to it?

Here is another old clip of SIkh Military band at the Edinburgh Tattoo. Described as being the Sikh Regiment of Nepal in the blurb. Quite a good piece as well. dont make them like that these days.

about 14 mins into it.

These types of programmes are a part of a BBC crusade to show that Muslims are as loyal as any other community, just in case the sight of blown underground trains deflect goray from that belief.

Come on! Those bongos aren't into the same fundo shite Paks and Arabs are.....not yet anyway.

I know the area in the documentary well. Those bongos aren't antiSikh at all.

Are you trying to add more enemies to the enormous amount we have already?
